This piece is a banana leaf made of mung beans, papad made of brown rice, salt and yogurt depicted with rice, quinoa and crushed buckwheat to depict chutneys, mango pickle make of red lentil, and rice and yellow daal made of – you guessed it – rice and yellow daal. Sapad is a traditional Tamil meal, sometimes served in a banana leaf, with balanced components including rice, daal, a crunchy element, salt, sweet, chutneys, and subjis.
